Age & Beauty

Discovered on a rural Botetourt County road near historic Fincastle, Virginia, this rusty yet stately 1949 truck enlivens its surroundings as a colorful piece of metal and floral ART.

Budding Buggy

A clever woodworker created a fake buggy, and filled it with blossoms.

Butterfly in the Fog

A stunning golden butterfly landing on field grasses takes on an almost mystical quality in the fog.

Farm use

This 1949 truck may be retired, but as the sign says, it's still being employed for farm use ... holding pots of beautiful flowers.

Glen Falls Grotto

Perhaps one of the most stunning falls in Virginia ... also one of the least known because it's on the private property of a delightful southern lady, At the bottom is a crystal-clear pool with rocks covered in brilliant green moss.

Glowing Colors of Dawn

The camera captures the golds and greens of sunrise and a brilliant red tree in Virginia's state arboretum in Berryville. Soft focus gives the photograph the aura of a watercolor painting.

Gnarled Tree

Shaped by high-mountain winds, this distinctive tree resides on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Rocky Knob, Virginia, and historic Mabry Mill.

Highland Tree & Pond

Fall coloration brings visitors by the thousands to Virginia's Highland County ... and this photograph shows why.

Lone Tree on Foggy Morning Oval

Near historic Fincastle, Va., one early fall morning. The shrouded yet stately tree stands sentinel beside a country lane. In the image, as in life itself, we see just enough of the path to inspire us ... but we never quite make out the end of the road. The image is ghosted on the mat.

Misty Morning

Photographed near Mabry Mill on the southern part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This was a magical morning with a dense fog lying gently on virtually the entire area except for the short stretch of fence line with the red berries of a holly tree.

Misty Morning Oval

We placed "Misty Morning" in an oval shape and ghosted the image on the mat.

The Blues of Winter

Taken near Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway, overlooking beautiful Goose Creek Valley. For more than 100 years, folklore has told of the Beale Treasure two wagon loads of gold yet to be discovered buried somewhere in the valley below.

Three Trees on the Crest

No, it's not a shot from out West ... it's Virginia's Grayson Highlands after a rain storm.

Trees in Pasture

What happens when there's plentiful rainfall in late summer? The trees change color in the fall, but the grass remains a rich green.

Waterfall in Autumn

Here's a stunning view of a bold waterfall surrounded by fall coloration. Taken at Falling Springs, in Alleghany County, Va.
